This starter switch fit perfectly on the old 8N Ford tractor. Installation was a little more than I realized (had to remove the top panel from the transmission), but took about 30-40 minutes all in all. Don't forget to disconnect the ground cable from the battery first of all. Do not short-cut on this repair and use some improvised switch that would let your tractor start while in-gear. I read somewhere that Henry Ford only designed two safety mechanisms into this model tractor: this safety interlock starter switch and common sense.
